Frequently Asked Questions

75+ detailed answers about chain link fence weaving machines — from technical specs, wire materials, and installation to exports, orders, and warranty coverage.

General & Models

We manufacture six primary models: Manual, Semi-Automatic, Automatic Cut, Automatic Cut & Weaving, Fully Automatic Single Wire, and Fully Automatic Double Wire chain-link fence weaving machines.

Our manufacturing plant and demo unit are located at Plot No. C3, C4-1, Junnar Taluka Industrial Estate, Kandali, Junnar, Pune — 412412, Maharashtra, India.

The company was founded in 2009 by Mr. Prakash Vethekar, who serves as the Managing Director and Chief Engineer.

Fully Automatic machines handle wire feeding, spiral winding, width cutting, node bending/knuckling, and mesh rolling automatically via a PLC program, requiring only one operator. Semi-automatic models require manual cutting and manual node bending.

Yes. Prakash Industries is an ISO 9001:2015 certified manufacturer, ensuring all welding, casting plates, and wire feeds comply with strict quality guidelines.

A manual machine requires two active operators: one to manage the winding crankshaft and feed wire, and another to thread, weave, and roll the mesh panels.

No, we only manufacture brand-new machines to maintain strict ISO calibration standards. However, our machinery maintains a high resale value due to premium alloy steel structures.

With proper lubrication, die adjustment, and timely blade changes, our machinery is built to last 15 to 20 years under daily double-shift operations.

Yes. A single Semi-Automatic machine is highly recommended for start-ups due to its lower cost, low power usage, and output capacity of up to 40 kg/hour.

Yes, we can customize automatic machines to weave fences up to 4 meters (13 feet) in height. Please mention this during your inquiry.

Technical Specifications

The Fully Auto Double Wire machine processes two wires at once, yielding a high output rate of 80 to 120 kg/hour (dependent on mesh size and wire gauge).

Our fully automatic models typically utilize a main drive motor of 5 HP or 7.5 HP (Siemens/ABB equivalent) alongside auxiliary servo motors for cutting and edge finishing.

Manual and Semi-Automatic models can be customized for Single-Phase (220V) domestic connections. Fully Automatic models require Three-Phase (415V) industrial power to drive PLC panels and servo drives.

Our machines support mesh sizing from 20 mm to 100 mm. Adjusting the mesh size requires swapping the winding die mold and matching cutting rod.

We integrate industry-grade PLC touchscreen modules (Delta/Schneider equivalents) offering simple bilingual control options for output speed, roll length, and alarm diagnostics.

Yes. The edge bending mechanism in our fully automatic series is adjustable. You can set it to knuckle both sides, barb both sides, or knuckle one side and barb the other.

Typically, a fully automatic unit requires a layout space of roughly 4.5m × 2.2m. The total net weight is approximately 1,800 kg to 2,200 kg due to solid structural steel framing.

Yes. All automatic models feature immediate limit switches and loop sensors that automatically cut off power if wire tangles, snaps, or feeds incorrectly, preventing damage to the die.

Yes. The memory function allows operators to save specific configurations (e.g., 50m roll length at 50mm mesh size) to switch production profiles quickly.

Wires & Materials

Our standard machines support wire diameters from 1.6 mm to 4.0 mm (16 Gauge to 8 Gauge). Wires thinner than 1.5 mm may require manual tensioning adjustments.

Yes. The double and single wire automatic machines process PVC-coated wires easily. The winding dies are calibrated to ensure the PVC sleeve does not peel off during spiraling.

Yes, hot-dipped galvanized GI wire and electro-galvanized wire are the primary raw materials used in our chain link weaving machines.

Yes, low carbon black wire (MS wire) can be processed, although it is typically galvanized afterward to prevent rust formation.

Yes. A light lubricant coating (soluble cutting oil mixed with water) is sprayed or applied to the wire feed rollers to ease friction inside the winding die mold.

Our heavy-duty passive wire pay-off stand (decoiler) supports wire coils weighing up to 500 kg to 800 kg without collapsing.

Yes. Soft grade stainless steel (SS 304/316 soft) and aluminum wires can be woven, provided the tension rollers are adjusted carefully.

Installation & Setup

Yes. We deploy a senior installation technician to set up, calibrate, and test run the machine at your workshop anywhere in India.

Standard setup and calibration typically take 2 to 3 working days, including electrical wiring integration, die setting, and initial operator training.

We require a flat, leveled concrete floor (minimum 4 inches thickness) to prevent operational vibration and maintain exact weaving calibration over time.

Standard installation charges are included in the quotation, but the customer is responsible for providing standard food, lodging, and local transit for the deployed engineer.

Comprehensive operator training is included for free during the installation phase. We teach your workers how to thread wire, swap dies, adjust cutting speed, and lubricate gears.

No — the structural frames and motor configurations are different. However, we can take your old machine as partial trade-in while purchasing a new fully automatic unit. Contact us for details.

Yes, our semi-automatic and manual machine series can run on single-phase 220V connections. Fully automatic series require a three-phase 415V industrial supply or a phase converter installation.

Maintenance & Service

Under continuous double-shift operations, the carbide die insert typically requires replacement every 3–6 months depending on the wire gauge and material hardness.

Daily maintenance includes gear box oil level checks, wire tension rod lubrication with grease, cleaning metal residue from the winding chamber, and checking all bolt tightness on the cutting assembly.

Yes. We maintain a full inventory of original winding dies, cutting blades, roll spindles, and gear components for all models we have ever manufactured, ensuring lifetime spare parts supply.

Yes. Our technical support team is available Monday–Saturday 9 AM to 6 PM via WhatsApp video call for remote diagnosis and troubleshooting, especially for international customers.

The worm reduction gearbox uses gear oil (ISO 220 grade). Change the gearbox oil every 6 months under normal usage. Overfilling or wrong oil grade causes overheating and premature bearing failure.

Dies & Customization

Yes. We manufacture custom winding dies for any mesh size from 20 mm to 100 mm, as well as special sizes above 100 mm for agricultural or industrial applications.

Each new machine comes with 3 die sets (e.g., 25mm, 50mm, and 75mm) included in the standard package. Additional die sets can be ordered at extra cost.

An experienced operator can swap dies and complete recalibration within 15–30 minutes using basic hand tools (allen key, torque wrench). Die swapping procedures are covered during operator training.

Exports & Sales

Yes. We export to 20+ countries including Kenya, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nigeria, and Tanzania. We provide full export documentation, CE certificates, and proper wooden crating for safe sea freight.

For domestic orders, we typically accept 50% advance + 50% before dispatch. For international orders, we accept wire transfers (SWIFT/TT). LC (Letter of Credit) arrangements are available for large orders.

Standard models are ready in 3–4 weeks. Custom-configured machines or bulk orders may take 6–8 weeks. We provide regular production status updates to our clients.

Orders & Warranty

We provide a comprehensive 12-month warranty covering manufacturing defects in the structural frame, gearbox components, and winding die mold. Electrical components (PLC, motors) carry the original manufacturer warranty.

Yes. We host walk-in live machine demonstrations Monday through Saturday 9 AM to 6 PM at our Kandali, Junnar Taluka, Pune factory. No appointment is needed for Indian clients. International visitors should call ahead to schedule a convenient slot.

Yes. Based on your local wire and fence market rates, we can prepare a custom ROI calculator showing estimated daily output, raw material cost, and projected monthly profitability for any machine model.
